Should You Repair or Replace Your Oven?
Most oven faults are worth repairing: an element, thermostat, fan motor or hinge costs a fraction of a new appliance and keeps a good oven in service for years. Replacement makes more sense when the fault is structural, the control electronics are obsolete, or a second repair is coming in the same year.
What usually causes it
Usually worth repairing
Elements, thermostats, fans, hinges, seals and control boards on current models are straightforward repairs.
Consider replacing
Cracked cavities, rusted through panels or repeated control-board failures on obsolete models.
Parts availability matters
We check whether genuine or OEM parts still exist before you commit to a repair.
We tell you before you spend
If a repair is not economic, we say so at the diagnostic stage rather than after the work.
What the £79 visit includes
Expert diagnostic
A qualified engineer tests the appliance properly — element continuity, thermostat calibration, fan motor, control board and supply — rather than guessing at the part.
Safety check
Every visit includes a check of the isolation switch, the wiring and the earth. If something upstream of the appliance is unsafe we tell you immediately and what to do about it.
12-month guarantee
The repair itself is guaranteed for a full year. If the same fault returns, we come back and fix it at no extra labour cost.
Where we cover this repair
Engineers across London — SW and SE postcodes plus Croydon, Bromley, Sutton, Kingston, Redhill, Reigate and Sevenoaks.
