Oven faults · £79 fixed labour
Oven Not Heating Up
An oven that stays cold is almost always one of four failures: a burnt-out element, a thermostat that has drifted, a seized fan motor, or a supply problem at the isolator. We test them in order instead of guessing at the part, so you pay for the right repair once.
What usually causes it
Burnt-out heating element
The most common cause. A failed element often looks perfectly intact, so it is tested for continuity rather than by eye.
Failed thermostat or sensor
If the oven heats but never reaches the dialled temperature, or runs far hotter than it says, the thermostat has failed.
Seized fan motor
On fan ovens a stopped motor leaves the element cycling on the safety cut-out, so the cavity never gets hot.
Isolator or supply fault
An oven that is completely dead with no display may have failed at the isolation switch, fuse spur or circuit.
What the £79 visit includes
Expert diagnostic
A qualified engineer tests the appliance properly — element continuity, thermostat calibration, fan motor, control board and supply — rather than guessing at the part.
Safety check
Every visit includes a check of the isolation switch, the wiring and the earth. If something upstream of the appliance is unsafe we tell you immediately and what to do about it.
12-month guarantee
The repair itself is guaranteed for a full year. If the same fault returns, we come back and fix it at no extra labour cost.
