Oven faults · £79 fixed labour
Oven Clock and Timer Repair
On most electric ovens the clock is part of the control circuit, so a blank or flashing display can stop the oven working altogether. Replacing the timer module or the control board brings the whole appliance back rather than just the timekeeping.
What usually causes it
Blank or dim display
Usually a failed control board or display module, which also takes the oven's heating functions with it.
Clock stuck in auto mode
A timer left in automatic mode keeps the oven locked out. We reset the sequence and confirm the functions return.
Unresponsive touch panel
Touch controls that no longer register are a membrane or board fault rather than a user error.
Error codes on the display
We read the code against the manufacturer's chart before deciding which component has actually failed.
What the £79 visit includes
Expert diagnostic
A qualified engineer tests the appliance properly — element continuity, thermostat calibration, fan motor, control board and supply — rather than guessing at the part.
Safety check
Every visit includes a check of the isolation switch, the wiring and the earth. If something upstream of the appliance is unsafe we tell you immediately and what to do about it.
12-month guarantee
The repair itself is guaranteed for a full year. If the same fault returns, we come back and fix it at no extra labour cost.
Where we cover this repair
Engineers across London — SW and SE postcodes plus Croydon, Bromley, Sutton, Kingston, Redhill, Reigate and Sevenoaks.
